Meet Master Dave
The Urban Sci-Fi Author
The madness began at the age of ten. Ever- Was it ten? It was eight?
-Dave said it was eight. At the age of eight, Dave began to create a universe of his own. He played with toys so much until his late father believed there were more than two people playing with him in the stairwell. Actually, Dave was changing his voice up so much that it sounded like several people.
You think it stopped there? Well, it didn’t…
Instead of doing his work in school, Dave would play with his fingers in-class, as if they were his toys at home.
The obsession matured over the ages.
The drive intensified.
Cartoons, toys and the vivid colors became his only escape from the harsh realities of the ghettos surrounding him. The gangs, drugs, and constant shoot outs lead him down a dark path. But his dream of creating a cartoon soon changed his life.
At the age of 23, Dave was accepted into the Art Institute of Atlanta. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Media Arts and Animation.
Dave was determined to be something more than just a thuggish statistic.
He has now created a trailer for his cartoon.
He has developed tons of art. He is highly skilled in music and public speaking.
He is also the CEO of Georgia Illustrated Inc. an online course for kids and adults, offering workshops in media related fields.
And to wrap it all up, Dave is also a distinguished author. His books are a unique blend of his ghetto upbringing and his creative nature. This formed a compelling genre of writing known as urban sci-fi.
